Norfolk Music Service is a County Council attached Service that engages musically with children & young people, and is proud to be lead partner for the Norfolk Music Hub.
NCYM is the flagship music centre of Norfolk Music Service, Guildhall School of Music & Drama, and City of Norwich School, which meets every Saturday during term time from 9am – 2pm.
Norfolk County Youth Orchestra is a full symphony orchestra made up of talented young players from Norfolk schools.
Charanga is a contemporary digital resources for music teachers and schools which creates exciting online learning for children and young people
Music Mark Members are leaders of music education and collectively, a national network of organisations and individuals providing high quality music education for all children and young people.
We are offering a limited number of grants of up to £1,000 to fund primary and secondary school pupils and teachers to work with professional practitioners/community music leaders on a music project in the spring term 2017.
Norfolk Music Hub administers funding applications with regards to the core and extension roles of the National Plan for Music ensuring there is an opportunities for children and young people to experience high quality music education.
Norfolk Music Service delivers a flexible, 2 year CPD programme, Level 4 Certificate for Music Educators, awarded by Trinity College London at a GNVQ Level 4 (equivalent to the first year undergraduate).
Playing in a group is an important part of learning an instrument. There are many opportunities of music making on
offer around the county.
